SOCIOECONOMIC EVALUATION OF TRADICIONAL AGROFORESTY SYSTEM OF COFFEE-BANANA-CITRUS IN THE COUNTY TLAPACOYAN, VERACRUZ, MEXICO
Abstract
Agroforestry system Coffee-Banana-Citrus Tlapacoyan, Veracruz, is a dynamic and complex system; with cultural and social wealth; less risk to weather and economic events; and implies greater labor need a polyculture. This work aims a socioeconomic assessment for family production units of Traditional Agroforestry System Coffee-Banana-Citrus in the county Tlapacoyan, Veracruz , based on the methodology of the INA / PG , France; and construction of a typology of producers. Agroforestry system is characterized agronomically, producer categories defined by the surface, available manpower and technological level, through surveys, field observations, developing a database and to define the job categories MODE were constructed. Each category (I, II and III) was defined costs and income with the help of the development of technical itineraries; later to determine indicators to 30 years, where Category II expressed best results. We conclude that building typologies to understand the complexity of agroforestry production systems and socio-economic indicators (PMO and PT) show a higher income than wages in the region and a higher return is obtained when the area is a small.
