Abstract

Parasitic wasps are a fundamental part of integrated pest management (IPM) and biological control, although basic knowledge of its distribution and biology are unknown for most groups and species. Predictive models provide an approximate distribution of the species in not sampled areas. This review presents and discusses the conceptual framework and considerations on the basic steps for the implementation of this tool with parasitic wasps.

Keywords

Parasitoids wasps; integrated pest management; biological control; models; ecological niche.
